Beery's Didgeridoo
Purchased raw and unfinished from L. A. Outback ; a beautiful unique instrument with a deep history. I wanted to create a mural on it of the story of the first didgeridoo, since it was in fact my own first didgeridoo. I found many legends, but I chose the tale related to me when I got mine. The hollow log he fills with the termites found crawling on it. |
He blasts the termites into the sky. |
The termites, some with concerned expressions, fly into the heavens and become the stars. |
What was done:
It's rough, but I like it, and I am playing it all the time. One of the only one of my instruments I can play since I burned the &^%$ outta my hand with the woodburner. D'oh! |
**No Aboriginal designs were used in this artwork. The design is merely a personal interpretation of Aboriginal folklore as related to me when I purchase the instrument and found during brief research on the internet. I make no claims to be anything more than an interested novice. |
